You guys can say the name but remember you're not going to get a gift

from the person you are sending the gift. ( the first person send a gift to the next one and the

last one will send to the fisrt member on the list. ( just like a chain )

If you guys want I can place a list here and everybody will find out ( from ) and ( to).

Also M.TEX, sent you a PM.

Got mine yesterday....Victornox Swiss Card.

M.Tex - Do not post that list, I suspect flaming will start. >:D

This anticipation was really fun, but don't know if I will do this again. I went double the amount in dollars because I'm a generous type of person, but I guess that's my fault. Next time let's set an 'at least' level and a maximum level and maybe a preferred catagory of gift for each participant.

Kind of feels like christmas in June. The rule was $20 or more. if someone goes way over and got a $20 item they shouldn't feel bad.
I have learned through many christmas's not to go overboard with anyone but my kids. I have gone way over in the past and it just perpetuates the problem. That said, I think it was fun!

webley445
06-24-2006, 03:23 AM
Just some suggections...

A limit will be set and all stick to it. Just like Secret Santa at workplaces.

You may post what you receive but not from whom.

A theme would be nice, like "keychain" gifts, or "lighting", or "urban survival", just to name a few.

Use the "chain" method of exchange (each person gives to the next in line) so it always works out even regardless of the number of people involved.

You may communicate with your gift giver/receipient, but secretly by PM.

A little blurb in original sign up post that has to be repeated, verbatim, in each posting of participation, reference to the rules so that it cannot be said that one overlooked the requirments.

Optional:Then a confirmation PM, again reiterating the limits/requirements for participation
(create a form responce so it is easier on the person running the show, just copy and paste) Participant must then PM back, stating they received the PM and "I understand the limit is..."

Sounds redundant, but sometimes that is what is required to ensure all participating understand what is expected of them.

Yeah, but you thanked me even when you weren't sure it was for you. Glad you love the knife. Don't go easy on it. Did you see how thick the liners are? It is asking to be used!

Not only how thick they are, but the fact that there is no "spine" or "backstrap": easy to clean and dirt cant get trapped. I am thoroghly impressed with the design and construction of this bad boy!

Hi all. I just wanted so say I am back and ask humbly for forgiveness about my tardiness for the gift. I have sent out the gift for my secret friend and he should recieve it soon. I have explained my reasons to M. Tex and realize it does not excuse the delay.

I want to thank my secret friend for the Inova light. I have been using it on Coast Guard crew assignments. And I hope he enjoys what I sent him.
