Looking at the pictures of the Lee Valley pocket screwdrivers, I realized I had something laying around here that would do the exact same thing; one of those round spark plug gappers that goes on your keychain. I tried it on a couple of different things, and it seems to work well enough. You can pick these up at just about any auto parts store for less than a dollar. Just thought I'd throw that out there for those people that might be interested.

Yep, that's a fine substitute, with a dual use to boot!

Great idea! I will have to buy one and see how they work. I gave up working on my own cars a long time ago, so I don't have a gap tool anymore... *Thank for the info... *O0

I have one of those around here somewhere. Are they sturdy enough to turn tough screws without gouging or bending?

Found it. Even though it's aluminum, it appears to be farily strong. Maybe I'll get another one to test so I don't mess this one up. If it works, it's a great double-duty tool.

Great idea. I've used these goofy things for years but it never occured to me to use it as a screwdriver.

I really like those things. They don't seem to take up much space at al and has a nominal weight.
