That's pretty cool. I would like to try that some time, be the darn guy doesn't really go into detail on how he did it. :(

Quite cool, but it's not for me.

I will definately try this, for two reasons: #1, to minimize the load on my keay chain and #2, to make my keys more distinguishable from eachother.

Ilco sells key blanks that have plastic color inserts to distinguish keys. The insert can be easily removed with a pair of pliers or screwdriver that will result in the same effect as the mod without doing all of the work. I had one of these for my old Ford truck.

I often engrave keys to identify their purpose. When different keys feel alike, I sometimes file notches in them so I can distinguish them by touch.

Though not to the extent as those done on that site, I've been doing this for years. I just remove the nasty sharp edges that tear up my pockets.

...and I thought flashaholics were nuts for modding lights... :)

I guess i would just like all of my keys milled out of titanium and I would be happy. ;)

The next best thing is Ultralite keys made by Silca. They are made of aircraft grade aluminum, super light & strong, and come in several colors. These are not like the old cheap aluminum keys that used to break all the time. These are quality... I have been using them for six years now without any problems.

I've only seen titanium blanks for high end cars. I'll have to get a hold of those aluminum ones then. Thanks Inspector!

I'll just stick to my old keys for now. Although, I do like the look of those carbon fiber keys...

I like that. Lightweight, personal, and in my opinion, better looking. I'd try that if I had more keys.
