Too many smileys!

Having so many smileys on the post page considerably slows down my browser (Camino/Gecko), because they're all animated! Can we have just a few, perhaps six, commonly used smileys on the post page and a link for "more smileys" with the rest?

I've been thinking of paring down the ones on the main post page anyway...won't ditch any, just shuttle 'em to the pop-up page.
