anyone suffer through this loser of a tv movie like I did? One thing for sure, we don't need to edc anything, FEMA supermen and superwomen to the rescue! Supplies and emergency assistance were just pouring into disaster areas almost immediately. We have nothing to fear, the government is here! Certainly proof that Hollywood writers are doing serious drugs.* :(

When everyone in the world nukes each toher to oblivion,* the epitath on the earths tombstone will read:" I didn't mean too...."
Get the DVD of Stephen King's "THE STAND". A more realistic way the world might croak. :-\

I put it on mute during the conversation and watched it just for the epic disaster sequences. I mean the whole continent being rent asunderand the sea pouring in was a cool concept (even if they did throw real science to the wind in doing so)

Great movie, and an even better book. One of my favorites from King. O0

I loved the actor who played Randall Flagg(the devil). I think he now plays the captain in Law& Order:criminal intent.

I only looked aty this thread to see if there was impending doom aimed at my Apple PowerBook computer running OS 10.4.
Glad to see that it was in reference to a crappy movie instead...

Well, not to pull this too off topic, but Big-T, have you read the Gunslinger series by King? If you like Flagg's character, there's more than plenty of him through out the series. ;)

I'm more partial to George macDonald Frazier's "Flashman Memoirs" series. As Harry Flashman describes himelf:" I'm a coward, lecher, liar, cheat, bully, womaizer,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and those are my good qualities!"
