I am very proud of my pocket utility threesome, a Prybaby XL, an Arc-P and a Squirt P4. However, ever since I've gotten them, I can't decide on the best bundle option. I started with a split ring, then a cord fob, put them on and off my regular keychain, tried carrying them loose in the pocket... (Same story with lanyards and fobs for my EDC knives, keep putting them on and them going back to striping them.)
Do you have opinions on this subject? It is easy to bunch them together, but sometimes I miss the flexibility of their pure independant form... Metal clips would be nice, but would add up to the weight, and are hard for me to get.
Decisions, decisions...

Experimenting with carry arrangements is half the fun of having gadgets.
Many people wear their ARC AAA-P on a neck lanyard. It is the right shape (no sharp edges) and lightweight enough to wear in comfort and you can use it without removing it from your neck.

I carry my utiliy keychain with this hanger made by myself with black nylon webbing, it has the snaps in different positions to choose the length depends the type of pants I am wearing. The entire keychain is attached to the belt and hangs into my front pocket, when I need any item I just pull it out or release the clip to separate everything from the hanger. The only problem is the weight, I am wearing cargo shorts right now and I carry all that stuff in the picture plus wallet, Leatherman Charge, cell phone and another small keychain with truck keys and Arc AAA-P* :D
When I take my trousers off I feel like I am floating in the air... 8)

This worked great for me, but it all depends on what you're looking for...

Try a key ring with easily-detachable rings. Bison Designs makes one called the Circle Key Caddie. Should be a nice compromise of the featues you are looking for. Personally, the fewer items I have to put in my pockets at the start of the day, the better. I'm comfortable with four: wallet, key caddie, cell phone, and multi-tool.

I've been considering this problem lately. Aside from carrying fewer items, there are a few ways to avoid overloading trousers with gadgets:
1) Carry lighter weight equivalent items, e.g., a plastic whistle instead of a steel whistle. Smaller, lighter multitools and/or knives. Use lithium batteries instead of heavier alkaline batteries in flashlights.
2) Distribute the items more equally to other areas. Carry some items on a neck lanyard, others in your shirt and jacket pockets. Wear a vest with pockets.
3) Reduce redundant items unless you will really need them for life threatening situations. We all like knives and lights and enjoy carrying multiples.
4) Carry items in a versipack or messenger bag with a shoulder strap.

I saw that thread with the Amphipod Micropack Land Sport and that thing is cool for small EDC's. JMHO.
