Here's what I have in mind:

Mainly I want to replace the "Rivet Equipped" belt clip and stand off chain.* It seemed cool at first, but this stuff is of pretty poor quality.* (would not recommend)* The chrome finish comes off quickly revealing some copper colored metal underneath.* I also think the pin that attaches to the belt clip may shear off soon.* It's a shame they are not made with better materials.*

I have found these on eBay, pretty, but also pricey:

I am also afraid sterling silver will be pretty heavy and may eventually get chewed up by my Lucky Line Fix-O-Loc stainless rings.* The other problem is if there is not belt loop handy about the pocket I carry the keys in (left front) I will need some type of belt loop.* Bring on the ideas or questions! :-\

Could you scale that first picture back please. It's huge! :)

Yeah, that's much better.* What is the item in your keychain pic at the very top?* It looks like it has a button on the right side.* I like your cable keychains also.* I need to find some of those.* Another thing.* What is the small cylindrical silver object by your bic lighter and sheath?* A flashlight maybe... :coolsmiley:* Nah, it kinda looks like a small pill capsule.

There are a few keychain threads going here (http://edcforums.com/index.php?topic=624.0), here (http://edcforums.com/index.php?topic=596.0),*and here (http://edcforums.com/index.php?topic=511.0).* They will be able to provide you with much more information than I alone ever could.

Maybe someone else will chime in with some more suggestions.* As for my thoughts, I honestly think the items you linked to don't look that hot.* I'm not too sure how sterling silver will last either but I'm sure you might be able to find something in SS or even Ti!* *;D

The item at the very top is the Rivet Equipped belt attachmnet. It does have a button on the side - it releases the keys from the clip. It worls pretty slick. I've attached a better shot and here is a link to the website where you can see more:

The little cylinder is a cheapie whistle. Pretty decent for an auto parts store find, but one of those Atwood whistles would be cool eventually.

The item at the top ride, with a button on the side, is Rivet E-clip (http://www.rivetnow.com/index.php?file=component&icomponent_id=1). *While the chains they use may be cheap, the clip I've been using for over a year is outstanding. *I use one to carry my cell phone. *The phone's been whacked several times, but the clip hasn't been phased by it. *I don't have any experience with their chains, but I highly recommend the E-clip.

Radio Shack carries some of their stuff.

BTW - Rivet uses 3M's amazing VHB double-sided tape to attached devices to their products.

Check this thread for more info. about the kydex lighter holster and a link to the maker:

You know Codeman, you're right, the Rivet E-Clip/belt clip itself I have is in pretty damn good shape.* It's the chain and lobster claw that have such lousy finish and the multi-pin on mine is bent (and I am pretty gentle on my stuff).* I guess I could look for an alternative chain and get a few new multi pins and keep using it.* It's one-handed convenience is hard to beat - I take back a little of what I said.

BTW - I noticed Rivet gear is on clearance at my local Radio Shack last time I was there (~ 2-3 weeks back)

I just wish RS carried some of the components.* I need one of the e-clip's fabric mount thingys.

BTW - I bent a post not long after I bought the clip.* Some pliers had it straightened in no time, and it's still in use.

I don't know if McGizmo (BerkleyPoint) has any chain, but his clips are top notch! I keep a small supply on hand for when I need one.

They stock a "long link" chain in stainless that looked good, until I found out it was like the size chain you tie you walk a Doberman on. They also have this:

May try it, but I'm not sure it's as nice/fancy as I want. Not as cool looking as the snake chain I have, definitely not as blingin' as the sterling stuff.
