just picked up a Rossi Mod. 461, .357 snubby.
Going to be a car gun for the hurricane season

How do you like your Rossi? What made you choose THAT particular gun for hurricane season? I am just curious.

A good part of why I picked it was price. If it gets lost or trashed it's no biggie.

finally got to shoot it.
At 7 yards I was shooting a 3" group.
With .38's it shot to POA. With .357 it shot about 1" high.
The recoil with .38 was mild and I mean mild. With .357's it was not as bad as my .45.

All in all I'm happy.

I used to have a Rossi .38, clone of S&W 36, it was SS, nice.

I was not disappointed with it a all.

Nice that you now have the option of both ammos. what finish is it and what did you pay?

Noticed your in Fl. I'm located in Pinellas County. You affiliated with Macdill?

it's blue and I picked it up used. Very lightly used. A note in the owners manual said the warranty card was mailed 1/6/06.
Paid a little over $200.
I'm near Sarasota and I use McDill as a nice shopping place, that's all.

We amy have met before. My in law lives in Sarasota (off of Fruitville Rd.) and does gun shows around the area and sells at the Bradenton show. I have worked the show with him there.

The exact reason we keep a .38 Rossi in both vehicles. I have had the snubs for 16 years. Had these been higher priced, I know at least one of my vehicles would have had a break in by now. Hey, what was that noise....
