Those Oberon covers are reaeeeaallly nice (deliberately mispelled to account for onomatopoeia)...they used to make some with snaps instead of the wrap ties, but they're hard to find.

Actually, they're still being sold. I think the color combination is a huge draw for people.

Whoa, folks! I missed these responses...

Yes, that is a first-generation U2 iPod. About two years old--ordered it before they released it. It's got the fellas' autographs engraved on the back in the shiny, shiny metal. (Saw U2 last December--my last big concert--I am too old for this foolishness ;D). They are still making them, but now they are bigger, have video/pic capabilities, and are thinner. I love mine. Have the Bose dock for it and the little Belkin voice recorder and some Ear Jams for the ear buds.

Yes, the clip on my Native is the original. ;D

I love the Oberon books. All handmade, many Celtic in design. You can see them here (http://www.oberondesign.com/). I pick mine up at the neat little independent bookstore two blocks from the house. I would love to get one of their portfolios (http://www.oberondesign.com/store/portfolios.php). Gorgeous. loWWorm, I've not seen the snap ones. But there is something about wrapping that little leather strip around the button. Says, "I'm done for now!"
