I really didn't have the time for it but I helped clean graffiti.* It will likely take years to get all of it removed.

I did get taken a little tour of the cave and this is what made me really sore.* We belly crawled 600 feet in an area that had a ceiling so low I could barely fit.* My knees got tore up, I tore my clothes up pretty good to.* I should have been wearing kneepads.* My knees are going to be killing me in the morning.* Crawling on a rocky surface can be rough.

What amazed me was in the* ceiling of this 600ft crawl was more spray paint.* We then arrived at an area where the cave opened up to a farily substantial room.* It was heavily covered as well.* They had to have used tall ladders to have painted some of the areas.

I had no idea that people woud go to do much effort to vandalize something.* It was kind of neat seeing all the sleeping bats.

The lights that I took were often way to bright for what we were doing.* In such a dark environment, the brightness of the lights is not so important but the durablility and runtime is very important.

Congrats on pitching in.

Graffiti aka taggers are like an infestation lice, hard to get rid of. :tickedoff:

This is one of the easier sections of the crawl.

I helped with the clean up of the cave as well. Sand blasting was great fun and it felt good to help restore the cave to what it's supposed to look like. I have to admit I am incredibly sore as well. I can't believe what lousy shape I'm in. I must be a glutton for punishment though because we are already planning our next trip back :D

I think I sense a long term hobby in the works here. Now, to make a list of all the new things I need to edc................

Oh blimey! Id HATE that! The idea of crawling thru that low-ceiling gap just makes a shiver run down my spine! Uugh!!!
I dont even like crawling under beds!!! (NOT to hide from irate husbands, I might add!* but to retrieve boxes/items stored under there!)
I can do heights, I dont really mind enclosed spaces but the idea of being er.."constricted", Ooooooh, no way!!
Well done for cleaning up the vandalism, though

*Besides, under the bed is the first place they look!! (Er....So Im told!)

No, I couldn't do that either, plus the fact with a 40" waist I would get stuck somewhere!* ??? And then what if your light packed up, and it got really dark and you couldn't find your way out? And then there is rain and flooding. And what about spiders and vampire bats with big teeth.* :buck2: No thanks.

Agreed, well done for cleaning up after the vandals.
