I am looking for a 10mm on a 1911 style frame. I like the way my 1911-A1 double taps better than my Glock so I am shying away from them. Delta is a collector, and never really was beefed up enough to handle such a hot load. Any suggestions?

you could have a 1911 built.. I think Les Baer will do it.... or just go buy a Glock 29 :)

Kimber makes a nice 1911 in 10mm.

Colt Delta "Gold Cup"; still a few around..!
Just saw a beautiful like new one on "THR" Board. Sold in
a flash for $1200.00 I think.
I've also recently been led to believe that the "Dan Wesson Line"
(Now owned/ partnered?) w/ CZ are quite nice, and more readily available.

I keep hearing a lot of good about the Kimber Eclipse serires. I know the price tag is high on Kimbers, but I am thinking of getting one in 10mm, and. 45. Anyone know of a reason (other than the sticker shock), not to?

I currently own 2, Kimber 3" 1911 models both in .45. I have a Pro Eclipse ULE and a Custom Ultra CDP. The Eclipse is set up with Crimson Trace laser sights and is deadly accurate and 100% reliable. The CDP has an aluminum frame and is 7 oz lighter than the Eclipse. It's a true joy to carry due to the fact that it is so light. In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with a Kimber.

My Dad and I both have peters stahl Omega's in 10mm built on springfield frames. I highly reccoment this pistol to anyone looking for a 10mm. I shot my dads and went out and bought one I was so impressed. This is probably the niceist pistol i have shot next to HK's and has an excelent trigger. It seems to cycle faster than a .45 and i think it helps keep you on target. this pistol has an octagon barrel that is ported so you almost have to shoot jacketed rounds or the barrel gets leaded bad. Very good target pistol and maby even light hunting. one of thos guns that shoots better than most people. I heard storys of 10mm and .40 glocks unsuported chambers blowing out, although my experence does not reflect this.
