Unwanted subforums

Can you please remove the sub-forums that do not have topics, I think this would make navigation quicker.

You beat me to it. I didn't know whether it was impertinent to raise this, but here goes. Could it be that ther are *too many* over-specialised sub-forums on the site? Wouldn't it make sense to start specialising only if the discussion compartments suggest themselves on three or four main forums first? I've seen too many forums which have over-specialised subforae which seem like a good idea but only seem to gather one or two posts over many months, and look desolate and uncared for.

It is a bit of an ironic observation in this case. As EDC obsessives, we are inclined to pack too much into our pockets. Could it be that we are doing the same here in the layout of the forum?

Just a suggestion or something to think about -- not intending any offence here, in fact I am loving this forum as a whole.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. We will definitely take it into consideration. I'm sure a little more tweaking to the site will take place before we are completely happy with it. Of course at the same time people are asking to have categories removed, others are asking to have categories added.* ;D So, we'll see what we can do.

I will start moving stuff and condensing a tiny bit at a time so that there is not a sudden shock of everything changing at once.

Some of the areas were created at the request of some users.

I will talk about this more after I get caught up on some other things.

We have condensed some. One reason that there was so many forums was that we are trying to appeal to anybody that carries alot of gear with them everyday. I think eventually the topic of how to carry things will grow once many different products are talked about in this forum.

We have the preparadness crowd wich should be here, we have the work utility crowd here as well. Photographers often carry alot of gear, gadget freaks as well. All the boards had some topics going. Some of the groups that are not well represented yet have just not been recruited yet.
