How long can I be empty handed??

Hi Jon and Mods, How long can I be "empty handed"?? I like that alot means more than Newbie or whatever.
So what must one do to keep the "empty handed"?? Not post is a given is there another way to speak volumes and still be seen as "empty handed"???

Technically, you can still have Loaded Pockets and be Empty Handed in spirit.
